A brilliant and diligent student, she began her education at Anglican Girls Primary School Surulere, Lagos from 1969 to 1974. Thereafter, she proceeded to Anglican Girls Grammar School also in Surulere, between 1974 to 1979 and obtained her West African School Certificate (WASC).
Her quest for higher learning made her enroll at the then Lagos State College of Science and Technology (now Lagos State Polytechnic), Isolo for her (GCE) Advanced Level from 1982 to 1984. In 1986, she gained admission to read Sociology at the Nigeria Premier University, University of Ibadan, Oyo State and was awarded Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 1989. The crave for further knowledge made her enroll at the University of Lagos for her Masters in 1997 and was awarded Master in Sociology in 1998.
Mrs. Shobajo’s Civil Service career started as a Master Grade II with Lagos State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission on the 18th of January, 1993 when she was deployed to Nigeria Model High School, Idi-Oro Mushin in 2003, she was transferred to Omole Grammar School, Ikeja in 2000 as Master Grade 1 and was later promoted to Senior Master in the same School. She has gained wide-ranging experiences in Administrative and Human Resources Management after she was transferred from the service of the Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (PP TESCOM) to the main Civil Service as Administrative Officer.
On 11th July, 2001, Mrs. Shobajo transferred her service to the mainstream as Administrative Officer GL. 10, she was posted to the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions. In October, 2006, she was redeployed to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation as Principal Administrative Officer in Child Development Department and was later promoted to Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in the same Department. In October, 2008 she became Head of Poverty Alleviation Department and in August, 2009, Head, Planning Research and Statistics of the same Ministry.
Mrs. Shobajo was promoted to the post of Assistant Director, Admin and Human Resources on 1st of January, 2012 and on 3rd August, 2015, Mrs. Shobajo was posted to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Cabinet Office as the Head of Political Affairs and Special Services where she is currently serving.
She is a professional member of Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (IPAN) and Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).
Mrs. Shobajo whose hobbies include Reading, Dancing and Partying had served in various Committees set up by the State. These include Committee on Bomb Explosion, Default Lagos Horizon Newspaper, Review of Civil Service Rule,
Technical Working Group (TWG) Social Protection in Lagos State.
She is happily married with Children.
