A holder of Masters in Business Administration degree with concentration in Financial Management from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Kemi Durosinmi-Etti has vast experience in the public and private sectors.
She garnered one-and-half decade experience in the banking industry before joining the Civil Service of Lagos State in the year 2000.
She rose to the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Banking Sector with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC where she was involved in managing the upstream division as well as consortium lending.
In the State service, she worked as the Technical Assistant to the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Chief Administrative Officer at the Financial Intelligence and Research (FIR) Directorate of the State Treasury Office, Head of Directorate of Finance and Administration in the Office of Special Adviser, Taxation and Revenue, Deputy Director Administration, State Treasury Office, Ministry of Finance, Director Administration and Human Resources, Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment (Lagos Global), Director Administration and Human Resource, Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation and as Director Administration and Human Resource, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development before her appointment as Permanent Secretary in August 2019.
She was part of the Committee that developed the financing strategy for the Lagos State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (LASEEDS) 2005-2007 Document, a high level Policy Document for the State. She was also a member of the Lagos Economic Summit Group and a rapporteur at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Lagos Economic Summit.
She was the Programme Officer of the State and Local Government Programme (SLGP), a governance programme funded by the UK-DFID.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
