Mrs Bolaji Benedicta DaSouza- Olowofela, a native of Lagos Island division was born on 14th March, 1963. She is a 1986 B.A graduate of the University of Ibadan in Theatre Arts who later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Akoka in February, 1992. She also holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in Human Resources and Personal Management obtained in November 2003.
Mrs Olowofela started her working career at the defunct Directorate for Social Mobilization & Economic Recovery (MAMSER) under the Federal Civil Service at the Federal Secretariat, Ikoyi as an Information Officer between February 1990 and January 1993 before moving to the National Orientation Agency (NOA) where she served as a Personnel officer from January 1993 till September 1999 when she transferred her service to the Lagos State Public Service.
She has served in the Office of the Head of Service as a Principal Admin Officer from September 1999 till January 2004 when she was redeployed to the Land Use and Allocation Committee, Lands Bureau, Ikeja as an Assistant Chief Admin Officer serving till January 2006. She was posted back to the office of the Head of Service in January 2006 serving in the Welfare Department as a Chief Admin Officer till April 2009.
In April 2009, she resumed at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) as an Assistant Director (General Administration & Personnel Matters) serving till June 2011 from where she was posted to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation as Deputy Director (Administration & Human Resource) in June 2011 where she worked till her promotion to the post of a Director (Admin & Human Resource) in October 2014.
Mrs Olowofela was posted from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) in August 2016 as the Director (Administration and Human Resource), doubling as the Bureau Secretary till September 2017 when she was deployed to the Cabinet Office as Director, Administration and Human Resource.
She has attended several courses, belongs to professional bodies including the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and is happily married with children.
