Mr. ADESINA MOHAMMED ODEYEMI is a 1983 graduate of Biochemistry from the prestigious University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife and also a 1995 Masters Degree holder in Public Administration from the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Lagos. He attended various programmes as well as courses in Management and Leadership.
A very resourceful officer, he has, in his (32) Thirty-two years in the State Civil Service, served in several capacities giving optimum service and technical proficiency to job responsibilities and challenging assignments among which is effectively holding the position of Private Secretary to three successive Heads of Service between April, 2003 and April, 2008. Some of his notable and remarkable contributions to the Public Service include:
(i) Assistant Secretary, Committee on the Review and Implementation of the 1998 Civil Service Reforms;
(ii) Secretary, Committee on the Hosting of Year 2002 National Council on Establishments Meeting;
(iii) Secretary, Committee on the Review of the Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER);
(iv) Secretary, Committee on the Extension of Professional Allowances to Veterinary Doctors in the then Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperatives;
(v) Executive Secretary, Ojodu Local Council Development Area; and
(vi) Chairman, Committee on the Re-Establishment of Teaching Service Commission
He has made presentations at many fora on different aspects of the Public Service Rules, Establishments Matters and General Administration.
Mr. Odeyemi was until his appointment as Permanent Secretary in August, 2015, the Secretary, Lagos State Audit Service Commission. Upon appointment, he served as Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service, Public Service Office (PSO) from August, 2015 – 15th April, 2016 and Ministry of Education from 16th April, 2016 – 2nd November, 2017, when he was deployed to the Office of Civic Engagement as the Permanent Secretary, thereafter posted to the Cabinet / Secretary to the State Government’s Office on the 9th of July 2018 as the Permanent Secretary. His is happily married with children.
