GBAJUMO, NEWLY DEPLOYED PERMANENT SECRETARY, CABINET OFFICE, CALLS FOR POSITIVE CHANGE  

The newly deployed Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Office, Mr. Kehinde Farouk Gbajumo has called on management and staff to join hands with him and the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin to achieve a positive change for the good of the Office and that of members of staff.

He made the call during his inaugural meeting with staff, noting that he expects everyone to strictly uphold the civil service ethics and practices by using their time for productive work, stressing that it is imperative due to the sensitivity of the Cabinet Office. Gbajumo emphasised the importance of collaboration, innovation, and dedication to public service excellence to achieve the objectives of the office. 

The Permanent Secretary also expressed his deep appreciation for the warm reception accorded him on his first day by the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adewwunmi Ogunsanya and the entire members of staff. He promised immediate improvement in the welfare of every staff while urging them to be dedicated by striving for excellence in all they do.

While declaring that all Heads of Departments and Units will be accountable for the schedules to be done and for the officers under them, Gbajumo disclosed that he had earlier served for four years at the Cabinet Office before his redeployment nine years ago, adding that he would be going round offices to meet officers at their desks after a scheduled one-on-one discussion with Heads of Departments and Units.

Earlier, the Director, Administration and Human Resources, Mrs. Tayo Gbajabiamila-Olamona, who welcomed the newly deployed Permanent Secretary on behalf of the other staff, pledged the commitment of everyone to work with him to ensure the attainment of the goals and objectives of the Office.
